Mayor opens Museum exhibition
The Mayor of Weston-super-Mare, Councillor Michael Lyall, made a very welcome guest appearance at Weston Museum today to open a unique exhibition of Stone Age to Iron Age artefacts - one entirely made by students at Walliscote School.
The exhibition at Weston Museum on Burlington Street featured menus of typical foods from the Stone Age, examples of cave paintings, pottery, poetry and writings, all created and curated by the students of Year 3/4.
The exhibition impressed the public. parents and staff alike with the Mayor going so far as to say that a future Mayor of Weston could well be amongst the students present.
We wouldn't be surprised if that was the case!
