Welcome to Walliscote Primary School

We are converting to an Academy!

On the 21st April 2017, Rebecca Clark, Regional Schools Commissioner, South West, wrote to the Chair of Governors enclosing an Academy Order which enables the school to convert to an academy. We are delighted by this news and are now able to begin the legal process of conversion to ensure a smooth transition towards a Multi Academy Trust. Please click here (or navigate to the new menu tab) to see more information and accompanying documents.

Choosing a school for a child is one of the most important decisions that a parent has to make. I hope you find the information on this website to be useful, helpful and supportive.

Walliscote Primary school prides itself as being a creative, innovative and inclusive school that has a long tradition of being a caring and hardworking community where we strive to achieve the maximum educational and social development of all our children.

Thousands of children have been part of the school over the many decades that the school has been in existence. The school was built in 1897 and has been modified over the years to provide an interesting educational setting, well equipped for learning in the 21st century.

We have high expectations for our children. We want them to achieve the very best for themselves in all aspects of school life. Children are positively encouraged to learn effectively, taking an increasingly greater proportion of responsibility for their learning as they progress through the school.

I look forward to welcoming you and your child to our school.
