Welcome to Walliscote Primary School

We are now part of the Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN)! See the letter below from our CEO.

October 2nd 2017

Dear Parents, Carers and Friends,

I am delighted to confirm that the Secretary of State for Education approved the conversion to academy status of Walliscote Primary School on October 1st and it has now formally become part of the Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN).

Over the past 15 months our six schools have worked really hard to achieve this goal, our aim is to work together to ensure all schools continue to meet the needs of their communities and use our combined expertise to develop and improve provision for the children in our care. I know that the staff, governors and Board members across our schools are excited about the opportunities ahead and really looking forward to working closely on whole MAT projects and events.

I am looking forward to getting out into all the schools, meeting the children and communities and learning how they work and why.

If Friday’s Tropicana Big Day Out was anything to go by it’s going to be a lot of fun.

Yours Faithfully

 Adam Matthews

Choosing a school for a child is one of the most important decisions that a parent has to make. I hope you find the information on this website to be useful, helpful and supportive.

Walliscote Primary school prides itself as being a creative, innovative and inclusive school that has a long tradition of being a caring and hardworking community where we strive to achieve the maximum educational and social development of all our children.

Thousands of children have been part of the school over the many decades that the school has been in existence. The school was built in 1897 and has been modified over the years to provide an interesting educational setting, well equipped for learning in the 21st century.

We have high expectations for our children. We want them to achieve the very best for themselves in all aspects of school life. Children are positively encouraged to learn effectively, taking an increasingly greater proportion of responsibility for their learning as they progress through the school.

I look forward to welcoming you and your child to our school.
